Our mission is to create a safe place where kids (kindergarten thru 3rd grade) will:
- learn about God
- explore Bible stories
- positively develop character and integrity
- learn to serve others and practice generosity
- and have FUN!
Lets keep it real - we live in a pretty dreamy place.
We are surrounded by abundance, especially in comparison to our global community.
We want to create some space in our kids' lives to pause and consider who God is, and how they can be a blessing to those around them in our local community, as well as in our global community.

Part of our program will be to partner with World Vision in order to educate the children about local and global poverty and injustice, to learn about issues affecting the poor and oppressed, and to support a World Vision project.
Kids over 3rd grade age are welcome to join us as "junior counselors".
WHEN: Wednesdays, after early out
1:30 PM - 2:40 PM
WHERE: Newport Hills Clubhouse Activity Room (Phase II)
Although there will be NO COST to attend, we will ask kids to bring an item to donate each week that will correspond with our service project. (Thank you for helping with that!)
Hi, I just came across your blog and program. I LOVE IT! I cannot wait to share this with my bible study group for all our children. I notice there has not been an entry since June. Is this blog still active? I would love to continue following it and possibly start a chapter in our city.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing idea! I found your blog through pinterest and would love to start something like this for my children and their friends. Thank you for sharing your hard work and amazing ideas! God Bless!

ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I'd like to "follow" it, but I can't seem to find the place to do that......
ReplyDeleteI am the director of a kids's church-based acting club, and I was thinking about trying to find ways that they could help others. Then I just found your blog! Thank you for all of your great ideas!
Hi kids! great work! One of my all time favorite things to do is to pick a day in the hot hot summer, load up an ice chest with ice cold bottles of water and stop every time I see road workers or city workers in my town. Then I give out water and just say "for the road warriors who make our roads work." The first thing they do is usually press the bottle to their foreheads. Road crews have water but, espeically on the hotter days it's usually tepid by the ten in the morning. It's such a hard but important job. And language is usually not a barrier.
ReplyDeleteI wish i could follow this blog but i dont know how to :-(
